BORN: January 31, 1970 in Tacoma, WA
IT ALL BEGAN:
Got the bug for lifting weights around the age of 19. I started doing cardio and a lifting program given to me during a free hour with a trainer. I used that program and did several types of cardiovascular exercises. I went through several training partners for about two years. I would stand outside this small dirty free weight room of the gym and watch these 3 men train. I was so intrigued. In 1991 my life changed when one of the fellas invited me to train with them. His name was Keith. Not long before I was hooked. Keith and I became full time training partners, great friend and I was his project. ☺
I began to buy books, study eating plans, spent hours inside the grocery store reading labels. I began documenting everything. Several years later. About 8 years later I saw a trainer in the gym and as we got to know each other I hired him. A year or so later I starting to think about competing. My coach at that time moved to his own gym, and was concerned he didn’t have the knowledge to bring me to stage in the right condition. I found a coach with the appropriate knowledge. Boy did he gouge my wallet and the day of the show he abandoned me. All in all after my first show what I learned about myself was this is my passion, I am willing to go above and beyond my comfort zone to be successful in this sport. I also learned that no matter what this is MY GOAL and regardless of what I pay someone or what someone verbally commits to me… It is up to me to be successful. My first competiton in 2001,
I placed 2nd out of 2 of us.
I would love to list all the competitions I have done but I must be honest, I don’t remember. ☹
I stay focused on the present and move on from each year. I have competed every year since 2001 except for 2014 due to a rotator cuff surgery. I have had many ups and downs and don’t regret or feel bad about any. Even if my package wasn’t right I learn and gain more fire.
More About Me:
I’m blessed both parents are still with me. I’m the oldest of two siblings
I have no children, never been married (except to body building). I now have two great cats (Noosh and Friday) and have become a crazy cat lady.
I am an administrative Assistant within the Department of Health I support a 15 person Commission regulate the profession of pharmacy.
I love rain, I love to wander quietly and enjoy making sure that I take good care of myself in all aspects of life.
This year (2019) my first show will be the Masters Nationals in Pittsburgh.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my site.
